Who is former Hungarian president Tamás Sulyok?

Removing Tamás Sulyok, who was the Hungarian head of state until just a few days ago, was central to the election campaign of Péter Magyar’s Tisza Party.

As the Magyar’s centre-right party won a parliamentary supermajority in April’s elections, the National Assembly managed to pass a constitutional amendment ending Sulyok’s term and triggering a new presidential election.

But who was Sulyok, and why did Magyar want to remove him?
