Rudkin given ‘controversial’ promotion in Leicester restructure

Leicester City have completed a major board reorganisation, with the internal promotion of a new chief executive, a new sporting director being drafted in from City Financial Group, and – most controversially – a more senior role for long-standing director of football, Jon Rudkin.
Rudkin has been the closest advisor to Leicester owners, King Power, for more than a decade, and played a key role in the famous Premier League title win in 2016, and their FA Cup triumph five years later.
But in recent years he has become an increasingly divisive figure, with some fan groups calling for him to be sacked.
