Lebanese civilians are fleeing their homes after the Israel Defense Forces launched heavy airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs — a stronghold of Hezbollah. Earlier, the Iran-backed militant group fired rockets towards northern Israel, in a stated retaliation for the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
