The 25-year-old and his teammates arrived in Oslo July 13 following Norway’s 2-1 defeat in the quarterfinal match against England in Miami. Haaland deboarded the plane while carrying a taxidermied raccoon holding a bottle of alcohol, which he purchased for $750 while in Dallas. The unconventional souvenir quickly drew attention from fans, prompting Haaland to ask Instagram users to "help me name my new buddy" in a July 13 post. The Manchester City striker has become one of this year’s World Cup sensations. He and his teammates celebrated Norway reaching the quarterfinals for the first time in World Cup history by participating in a bus parade upon arrival in Oslo.
