The US Congress has formally certified Donald Trump’s victory in November’s presidential election.
The House of Representatives and Senate convened for a joint session under heavy security inside and outside the Capitol building. Vice-President Kamala Harris, who lost to Donald Trump in the election, presided over the certification.
