The world’s largest aircraft carrier is expected in the Middle East in the coming days.
The USS Gerald R. Ford would be the second carrier the United States has deployed to the region – as the Pentagon builds up reinforcements amid tensions with Iran. President Donald Trump has warned it would be ‘very traumatic’ for Tehran if it doesn’t make a deal over its nuclear program. The two sides are holding indirect talks over the future of Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
