US jury orders Greenpeace to pay $660 million over protests, threatening the group’s future

A jury in the United States has told Greenpeace to pay more than $660 million to Energy Transfer, the company behind the Dakota Access Pipeline. It found the environmental group liable for defamation, conspiracy and other charges in connection with protests almost a decade ago.
