Four months from now US voters will go to the polls in crucial mid-term elections that could reshape the final two years of the Trump presidency. In Congress, the Democratic Party is hoping to take control of the House of Representatives, but the topic of Israel and its war in Gaza is becoming one of the Democratic Party’s biggest fault lines. DW’s Ines Pohl traveled across the country to meet the people at the heart of the divide and ask whether the party can hold together, while DW’s Brent Goff spoke to Sarah Yerkes – a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment and former State Department official who worked on Israeli-Palestinian affairs.
