Trump Says Iran Bombing Could Last Weeks, Tehran Defiant | The Pulse 3/2/2026

The US President has warned that the bombing campaign in Iran could last for weeks. He’s reiterated his call for the Iranian leadership to capitulate, following the killing of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei however, Iran’s security chief has ruled out negotiations.

The conflict has reverberated across the Middle East. Blasts have been heard across Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, as states intercepted Iranian missiles launched in response to US-Israeli strikes. Oil jumped and European natural gas futures surged, while global stocks slumped.

Airspace has been shut across the region and some of the world’s busiest airports are closed, leaving thousands of people stranded.
