Tech Stocks Selloff After Apple Price Hikes, OpenAI IPO Report | Daybreak Europe 6/26/2026

Global stocks slumped to a two-week low in a rapid reversal from Thursday’s jump, when Micron Technology’s bullish forecast and a US-listing planned by SK Hynix boosted optimism over the sustainability of the AI trade.

Apple shares fell after it raised prices of all Macs, iPads, home devices and the Vision Pro on Thursday. Sentiment was also dragged lower by a report that OpenAI may hold off on an initial public offering until next year.

And oil was on track for a weekly decline after transits through the Strait of Hormuz accelerated, although an attack on a cargo ship has renewed concerns about safe passage through the vital waterway.
