Taiwan’s coast guard confronts a Chinese vessel in response to China’s rehearsed naval blockade

China is continuing the second day of its military exercises near Taiwan. China’s military drills come less than two weeks after the US announced a record $11.1 billion arms package to Taiwan. Taipei condemned the drills as irresponsible but said it would not escalate tensions.
