Rob Reiner’s impact in Hollywood continues to be recognized. The legendary filmmaker known for directing cultural phenomena such as ‘The Princess Bride,’ ‘When Harry Met Sally…’ and ‘This Is Spinal Tap’ has received a posthumous nomination at the 2026 Emmys. Reiner earned an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series nomination for his role in season four of ‘The Bear’—his first acting nomination in 48 years. The Oscar nominee previously won two Emmys for starring in the classic sitcom ‘All In the Family.’ Reiner and his wife Michelle Reiner were fatally stabbed at their Los Angeles home in December 2025. Their son Nick Reiner was charged in connection to the killings, pleading not guilty to two counts of first degree murder in February 2026.
