Press dinner taking pictures in D.C.: What we all know to date
A man fired gunshots during a press dinner at the White House. While President Trump and Vice-President Vance were rushed to safety, the alleged perpetrator was overpowered by security agents. One agent was wounded but is not in critical condition.
Three DW journalists who attended the event, Ines Pohl, Janelle Dumalaon and Misha Komadovsky, share their experience. DW also speaks with terrorism expert Hans-Jakob Schindler and asks him about security incidents involving the US president.
