Meet the producer of LUX Award nominated movie “Intercepted”, Pauline Tran van Lieu

Meet Pauline Tran van Lieu, producer of "Intercepted", a film nominated for the 2025 LUX Audience Award.

This Canadian, French and Ukrainian co-production is an attempt to answer the following question: how does war dehumanise people?

By depicting thousands of intercepted phone calls made by Russian soldiers on the battlefield in Ukraine, the film shows how war can rid people of their humanity, and pays tribute to the resilience of the Ukrainian people.

Each year, the European Parliament, in collaboration with the European Film Academy, shows its support for European cinema by awarding the LUX Audience Award to a film that engages audiences in debates about Europe in a thought-provoking way.
