MAIA: Morgan Stanley to Cut 3% of Workforce Amid Shifting Business Priorities
Morgan Stanley announced plans to reduce its global workforce by approximately 3%, equating to around 2,500 employees across multiple business lines including investment banking, trading, and wealth and asset management. Bloomberg News’ Catherine Doherty explained that the layoffs reflect a combination of performance-based cuts and a strategic shift in business priorities rather than a large-scale downsizing.
