LIVE: Earthquakes in Venezuela – What’s the most recent and may the nation cope? | DW News
Venezuela has been shaken by two earthquakes in under a minute. The magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 quakes on Wednesday were centered not far from the capital Caracas. The damage is extensive and the death toll is expected to rise dramatically. The US and other countries around the world have already pledged help. But will this be enough to support Venezuela – already dealing with an economic and political crisis? Biresh Banerjee talks to journalists Noris Soto and Manaure Quintero in Caracas who will bring us the latest on the ground.
