LeBron James Leaving L.A. Lakers After 8 Seasons | E! News
LeBron James is dribbling towards a new chapter. The NBA champion is exiting the Los Angeles Lakers after eight seasons with the team, his agent, Rich Paul, confirmed to ESPN on June 30. Paul also confirmed that the 41-year-old will stay in the NBA for his 24th season, but it’s unclear where he’ll head next. The athlete kicked off his pro basketball career back in 2003 by joining the Cleveland Cavaliers in his home state of Ohio. Seven years later, LeBron was signed by the Miami Heat before returning to the Cavaliers in 2014. The NBA champion then made the move to the City of Angels, joining the Lakers in 2018, where he’s been ever since. And during his storied career, LeBron has set a few records and earned more than a few accolades. The league’s all-time leading scorer is also a four-time NBA champ, All-Star winner, multiple-time MVP and three-time gold medal winning Olympian.
