JoJo Reacts to Broadway’s Chess Closing Hours Before Starting Rehearsal | E! News
Less than one month before JoJo was set to take over for Lea Michele in ‘Chess,’ the Broadway show announced it was closing earlier than expected. JoJo wrote in the comment section of the May 26 Instagram announcement, "Was supposed to start first day of rehearsals TODAY, so bummed. all my love to the company." The production, which follows a complicated love triangle involving an American and a Soviet Russian chess grandmaster during the Cold War, will officially come to an end June 21, coinciding with Lea’s last performance.
