In the book, out April 14, Jennie describes self-medicating with drinking and pills to the point of needing to have her stomach pumped one night, according to People. Looking back, the 54-year-old—who was married to Peter for 12 years and shares three daughters with the ‘Twilight’ star—realized she could feel her “light really dimming,” adding to People in an interview published April 8, “I wasn’t putting off good vibes. I could see it in the mirror. I could look at the negative impact that that kind of grief and anger was having on me.” But that was until she decided to choose herself.
