Hong Kong’s national security police arrested five booksellers on suspected charges of "doing an act with seditious intention," the government said in a statement late on Wednesday. The raids are part of a broader crackdown using Hong Kong’s national security laws to target booksellers and literature. Sellers say they are under increasing pressure from authorities to toe an "elusive red line" over what books may be considered problematic.
