Harris seems with Charlamagne Tha God in Detroit; Trump cancels CNBC interview
Kamala Harris continued her media blitz as she laid into Donald Trump in an hour-long town hall interview with Charlamagne Tha God on Tuesday.
Harris said she is “going to” win the election, called Trump’s policy platform “fascist” and defended her own record during the Detroit event.
Harris’s appearance in the Michigan city was targeted toward reaching Black voters. When one town hall attendee asked Harris what she would do for Black people if elected, Harris said she had dedicated her career to helping the Black community.
Meanwhile, in a combative appearance at the Economic Club of Chicago, Trump clashed with Bloomberg editor John Micklethwait over his tariff plans. Trump also refused to accept basic mathematics, swerved a question on his interactions with Vladimir Putin since leaving office, offered his revisionist version of January 6 and again trash-talked Detroit.
This comes amid concerns over his health and mental acuity and the accusation by Harris that he is “increasingly unstable and unhinged” after a threat over the weekend to deploy the National Guard or even the military against American citizens.
Trump is also set to take the stage in Detroit for a rally event on Tuesday evening.
