Emotional Teyana Taylor Sends Message to “Little Brown Girls” After Win | Golden Globes 2026
‘One Battle After Another’ actress Teyana Taylor took home the award for Best Supporting Female Actor in a Motion Picture during the Jan. 11 ceremony, beating out fellow nominees Ariana Grande (‘Wicked: For Good’), Amy Madigan (‘Weapons’s), Emily Blunt (‘The Smashing Machine’), Elle Fanning (‘Sentimental Value’) and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (‘Sentimental Value’). Teyana was overcome with emotion as she took the stage at the Beverly Hilton during the Nikki Glaser-hosted ceremony to accept her award. Teyana had a message for her fellow “brown sisters and little brown girls” who were watching the ceremony. “Our softness is not a liability. Our death is not that,” she said from the stage. “It’s not too much. Our light does not need permission to shine. We belong in every room we walk into.
