DNA examined
Parliament’s committee on industry, research and energy holds a public hearing examining the proposed Digital Networks Act (DNA). Bringing together leading independent experts, the hearing will explore how the proposal can contribute to completing the Digital Single Market, strengthening Europe’s connectivity infrastructure, enhancing technological sovereignty, and boosting competitiveness, resilience and innovation across the EU.
Discussions will focus on three key themes:
– harmonisation, including measures to create a more integrated Single Market for electronic communications and digital infrastructure
– simplification, with a view to reducing regulatory fragmentation and administrative burdens
– technological sovereignty, examining how the DNA can foster a more balanced digital ecosystem and strengthen the competitiveness of European companies and technologies.
