Danon Touts ‘Strong Alliance’ Between US, Israel
Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon says Israel is "very comfortable" with the US representing its interests in Iran negotiations, touting a "strong alliance" with Washington even amid questions about public strains between President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Danon says the US should not make early concessions to Iran in nuclear talks, arguing sanctions and military pressure are needed to maintain leverage, and warns any deal that does not address Iran’s ballistic missile program would be a "major mistake." He speaks with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on the late edition of Bloomberg’s "Balance of Power."
