Chinese President Xi Jinping gave his American counterpart a royal welcome outside Beijing’s Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square. Ahead of a day of talks between the two superpowers, Xi Jinping warned that the world is at “a crossroads” and said the question would be whether the US and China can work together to combat global challenges.
