China Hits Back at Trump Election Meddling Claims | The Pulse 7/17/2026
China has called President Donald Trump’s allegations of election interference “purely fabricated” and “malicious smears.” Trump’s accusations threaten to upend ties with the world’s second-biggest economy as he focuses on securing a victory in the midterms in November.
Nasdaq futures tumbled as the global selloff in chipmakers gathered pace. Traders have rushed to exit positions in stocks that had fueled this year’s rally but whose valuations grew increasingly rich.
Andy Burnham is set to become leader of the UK’s Labour Party today, paving the way for him to become Prime Minister on Monday. Bloomberg has learnt that within days of taking office, Burnham is preparing to announce new drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea as well as taking public control of Thames Water.
