The relationship between Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, actor Cheryl HInes, is reportedly strained after news emerged that he had a personal relationship with New York Magazine journalist Olivia Nuzzi.

People magazine is reporting that Hines and Kennedy, who have been married since 2014, “have barely spoken” in the past two weeks, which just happens to be when the magazine put Nuzzi on leave for not disclosing her relationship with the former independent presidential candidate who has since become a Donald Trump acolyte.

“She’s embarrassed because he got caught,” some reportedly close to Hines told the magazine, adding that the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star has been in Europe since the scandal erupted.

Hines has been seen at several shows during Milan Fashion Week last month with her daughter, Catherine Young, and was also seen supporting Kyra Kennedy, her husband’s estranged daughter, who was walking in the show.

So far, Kennedy has avoided directly commenting on the scandal, which he and Nuzzi both insist took place only online and was “never physical.”

Besides being suspended from her job at New York Magazine, Nuzzi recently filed a lawsuit against her ex-fiancé, Politico journalist Ryan Lizza, whom she accused of orchestrating a blackmail campaign against her.
