Britain hosts international ministers assembly to reopen Strait of Hormuz – with out the US | DW News

Britain has hosted a meeting of foreign ministers as part of efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. More than 40 countries took part in the virtual talks – the US did not attend.
Britain wants focus diplomatic and economic pressure on restoring access to the vital shipping route, which has been largely shut down by the US Israeli war against Iran. The meeting follows statements from US president Donald Trump that countries relying on oil supplies through the Strait should show some courage and "just grab it."
