Brazil’s Congress reduces ex-President Bolsonaro’s coup prison sentence

Lawmakers defied President Lula da Silva’s veto and moved to adopt a bill that would dramatically reduce former President Jair Bolsonaro’s 27-year prison sentence for plotting a coup following his loss in the October 2022 presidential elections.
