Armenia hosts summit with Western leaders | DW News

Armenia is hosting leaders from across Europe and beyond in the capital, Yerevan, for a summit of the European Political Community. It is the first such gathering of Western allies since the United States announced plans to withdraw troops from Germany.

The meeting is also widely seen as a clear sign of Armenia’s pivot away from Russia, underscored by the invitation extended to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose country has been defending itself against Russia’s full‑scale invasion for more than four years.
