During the interview, Anne explained that Taylor’s presence felt like a guiding force throughout production, calling her “an angel” hovering over the project. She added that Mother Mary director David Lowery is a proud Swiftie, and that Taylor’s Reputation era served as inspiration for the tone and energy of the film. After portraying a fictional pop icon in Mother Mary, Anne said she now views Taylor Swift through a different lens.
