ABC has confirmed that Taylor’s upcoming season of ‘The Bachelorette,’ which had been set to premiere on March 22, will no longer air following the release of a previously unseen video from 2023. The footage, obtained by TMZ, shows a physical altercation between the ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star and her then‑boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. In a statement, a Disney Entertainment spokesperson told E! News that the network decided not to move forward with the season in light of the newly surfaced video, adding that its focus is on supporting the family. After the video’s release, Taylor’s spokesperson responded by calling it part of a “destructive campaign” that allegedly omits context and unfairly targets her. The resurfaced footage has also renewed attention on past legal issues stemming from the 2023 incident, as well as a more recent investigation into an alleged dispute between the former couple earlier this year. Production on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season five has since been paused while authorities look into the matter.
