The dark visual follows Pepper as she faces rejection and brutal feedback while auditioning at Fame Inc., repeatedly returning in different wigs and disguises in hopes of landing her big break. After reaching her breaking point, Pepper unleashes her rage in a bloody chainsaw massacre against the casting executives—only for the final moments to reveal the rampage was actually part of a movie starring her. Grande previously told Apple Music that she tapped into “unfiltered rage” while creating the experimental album, admitting she chose not to soften or rewrite her emotions as much as she usually does.
