Signal’s Whittaker on ‘Hype’ Around OpenAI-Hugging Face Hack | The Pulse 7/24/2026

Meredith Whittaker, President of the Signal Foundation (the non profit organization which owns Signal Messenger) joins Bloomberg’s The Pulse with Francine Lacqua. Whittaker warns that AI, alongside further tech legislation, risks undermining the principles of private communication.

Meanwhile traders fear the AI rally may have gone too far – with the Magnificent Seven shedding nearly $800 billion in market value in one session. Brent oil also touches $100 a barrel on the escalation in the Middle East.
