Indian activist affords to finish starvation strike | DW News

Indian activist Sonam Wangchuk has offered to end his hunger strike if the government agrees not to harm student protesters. He is seeking other assurances from the government including compensation for families of students who committed suicide and the resignation of India’s education minister. Protests by the ‘Cockroach’ party and supporters have rocked the capital for weeks after a scandal over leaked exam papers.
