Micron Surges on AI Boom as Brent Oil Erases Iran War Gains | The Pulse 6/25/2026
Micron, the largest US maker of computer memory chips, has surged in premarket trading after its quarterly sales forecast crushed Wall Street estimates, signaling that an AI-fueled growth run remains strong.
Brent oil has erased all of its wartime gains after flows through the Strait of Hormuz ramped up following progress on a US-Iran peace deal. The retreat marks the culmination of a dramatic few months for oil, in which futures topped $125 a barrel.
Influential figures in Andy Burnham’s entourage have urged the would-be UK prime minister to break up the Treasury to refocus the government’s agenda on growth. They include Andy Haldane, the former monetary policymaker tipped to be his economic adviser, as well as Louise Haigh, the former Transport secretary who is now a power-broker in Burnham’s team.
