Public listening to on the gender oppression and violations of girls’s rights

The women’s rights and gender equality committee is holding a public hearing on “Gender oppression and violations of women’s rights: the case of Iranian and Kurdish women and gender apartheid”.

MEPs and invited speakers examine the systematic restrictions and human rights violations faced by women in these contexts, including limitations on bodily autonomy, freedom of expression, access to education and employment, and participation in public and political life.
