Trump mentioned it might finish quick. 100 days later, the battle goes on | DW News
One hundred days after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, the conflict shows little sign of ending.
US President Donald Trump initially predicted the war would be short, but Iran has continued to strike American and US-linked targets across the Gulf while tensions remain high over the Strait of Hormuz and regional security.
Kamran Matin, Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Sussex, explains what the war has revealed about Iran’s resilience, hybrid warfare strategy, information campaign and regional influence. He also discusses how Gulf states are adapting to the conflict and whether growing opposition to the war could become a political challenge for the White House.
