SpaceX is currently targeting a valuation of at least $1.8 trillion in its initial public offering, according to people familiar with the matter, as Elon Musk’s rocket and artificial intelligence company nears its debut.

Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket exploded in a massive fireball while undergoing a test on a Florida launchpad Thursday evening, dealing a major setback to the Jeff Bezos-backed firm in its efforts to challenge a dominant SpaceX.
