Laos cave rescue: a race in opposition to time, terrain and rain | DW News

Five of seven villagers who became trapped in a flooded cave in Laos one week ago have been found alive. But rescue divers now have to try to get them out and find the two men who are currently missing. Rescuers are facing extreme terrain and rising waters. Time is of the essence as the rescue operation progresses in the cave in Xaisomboun. DW News speaks to an expert cave diver about the difficulties that lie ahead for rescue teams.
