Anne Hathaway addressed online speculation about whether she’s had plastic surgery, revealing she hasn’t gone under the knife just yet. However, she said she wouldn’t rule out a future facelift. The Devil Wears Prada star revealed to Elle in an interview published May 21 that she needed to shut down speculation that stemmed from a viral video she posted earlier in the year, showing her pinning her face back with two braids. “The speculation has gotten so loud that you do feel the need to just get your truth out there,” the Oscar winner said. “And I’ll probably always wonder, ‘Should I have posted that or not? Should I have just kept going and done the thing that makes me happy and makes me feel more confident on the red carpet?’ But I felt like the conversation was becoming distracting.” She added, “Also, by the way, these are huge medical decisions that people are presuming. I wanted to show that like, no, I didn’t make a huge medical decision.
