Russia’s Duma provides Putin navy powers to free residents overseas | DW News

Russian lawmakers have approved a law change which gives President Vladimir Putin the power to use the armed forces to free Russians being held abroad. The State Duma, Russia’s lower house, voted in favour of the amendment with officials framing the move as a response to what it calls "hostile Western justice."
