How the EU is preventing an abusive pet commerce | DW News
The European Parliament has voted in favor of new legislation to improve the welfare of dogs and cats in the EU. The trade in those animals is worth 1.3 billion euros a year. Animal rights groups have criticized the abuse and bad conditions linked to the trade.
