Why Playing Bessette Sisters Came Easy for Love Story Stars | E! News

Sydney Lemmon didn’t have trouble finding a sisterly connection with Sarah Pidgeon. After all, years before she and her ‘Love Story’ costar were tapped to portray sisters Lauren Bessette and Carolyn Bessettein the FX series, the duo were well-acquainted. “Sarah and I are friends from the theater scene in New York City, so to get to play sisters felt really easy,” Sydney, 35, exclusively told E! News at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Drama’ March 17. “I’m just so happy for the audience that the show is finding, and I’m really touched to be able to be a part of it.” Though Sydney didn’t share too much about her transformation into Lauren—who died alongside Carolyn and JFK Jr. in a 1999 plane crash—she did admit she’s obsessed with one detail from the show: Sarah’s new makeover inspired by the late Calvin Klein publicist. “Sarah [as a] blonde is so stunning,” the ‘Firestorm’ alum told E! News. “I mean, Sarah [as a] brunette is gorgeous as well. But it’s so funny when someone makes a little change like that and it’s like, ‘Oh! This is maybe what was supposed to be.’ She’s beautiful either way.” ‘The Drama,’ also starring Rob Pattinson and Zendaya hits theaters April 3.
