Hilary Duff explained her unconventional education growing up as a child star. During a March 2 appearance on the Table Manners podcast, the former ‘Lizzie McGuire’ actress joked that she received “zero education” while working in the entertainment industry, but says she isn’t bothered by it. The ‘How I Met Your Father’ star shared that her mother, Susan, Duff, encouraged her to earn a GED, which she eventually completed. While her formal schooling may have been limited, Hilary explained that she feels she educated herself through life experiences and by exploring topics that interested her. These days, Hilary says her son Luca, 13, whom she shares with ex-husband Mike Comrie, often teaches her new things from school.
