US President Donald Trump said he ordered the military campaign against Iran to stop Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and its ballistic-missile program, and he initially projected the conflict to last about four to five weeks — but cautioned it could go on much longer if necessary. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signalled that the US–Israel war on Iran will not be an endless conflict.
