Gianluca Prestianni will definitely be unavailable for Benfica’s Champions League tie at Real Madrid on Wednesday after UEFA dismissed the Portuguese club’s appeal against his provisional suspension.
Prestianni travelled with the Benfica squad to Spain as club president Rui Costa said he is "not racist" following an allegedly racist comment to Vinicius Junior.
Costa was speaking to the media ahead of Benfica’s second leg of their Champions League play-off against Real Madrid and added they would not "permit a racist player within the squad".
