Robert Duvall, ‘The Godfather’ and ‘Apocalypse Now” Actor, Dead at 95

Robert Duvall, best known for his roles in ‘The Godfather’ and ‘Apocalypse Now’ died Feb. 15 at 95, his wife Luciana Duvall confirmed in a statement on social media Feb. 16. His wife of 20 years wrote, “Yesterday we said goodbye to my beloved husband, cherished friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love and comfort.” During his storied career, Duvall earned seven Oscar nominations, winning one for his role in ‘Tender Mercies,’ along with a BAFTA award, four Golden Globe Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards and a SAG award.
