Busy Philipps Is “Deeply Hurting” After James Van Der Beek’s Death | E! News
James Van Der Beek’s former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ costar Busy Philipps mourned the death of the actor at the age of 48 on Feb. 11, saying, "My heart is deeply hurting for all of us today." Busy writing on Instagram, “Every person who knew James and loved him, anyone who loved his work or had the pleasure of meeting him, all of his dear friends and community that surrounded him as he battled this illness, especially his parents and brother and sister.” The 46-year-old wrote that she was “profoundly heartbroken for his incredible wife Kimberly and their six magical children,” adding that he was “one in a billion” and “will be forever missed.” James died Feb. 11 after a three year battle with colorectal cancer. He is survived by his wife Kimberly and children Olivia, 15, Joshua, 13, Annabel, 12, Emilia, 9, Gwendolyn, 7, and Jeremiah, 4.
