Russia, US now technically free to develop nuclear weapons with out limits | DW News
The last remaining nuclear arms control treaty between the US and Russia has expired. With no replacement for the New Start treaty in place, both countries are technically free to develop nuclear weapons without limits. At a time of multiple international crises, there are fears the world’s biggest nuclear powers could be heading into a 21st century arms race.
Meanwhile, negotiators from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States began the second day of talks in Abu Dhabi. Russian envoy said there was progress and a positive movement forward in talks on how to end the four-year war. Meanwhile, Russian drone attacks on the capital injured two people.
